Same Bed Different Dreams

Earlier tonight, I watched the show Same Bed Different Dreams (that relatively new program hosted by Yoo Jaesuk and Kim Gura), but I only watched it because Jiwon was a guest.

The show blows. It was way too boring, especially without subs, and it seemed to be along the lines of Hello Counselor. After downloading it, I felt regret because it seemed boring before I even started watching it. I did not sit through it, though, and instead I fastforwarded to parts of Jiwon speaking.

It was a shame because Jiwon was looking cute as fuck...

I live for Jiwon lol'ing.

That one basketball dude who's on Sebakwi was also a guest, and I can't stand that guy, so thank g.o.d I didn't actually watch the whole thing.

Shin Ji on Music Bank

On Friday, Shin Ji finally hit KBS Music Bank with "두근두근 (Pit-A-Pat)."

She was great, especially given that she just got over that health scare.

Not sure if she plans on promoting on any other shows, though...

I wish she would, cuz you know, I just really love Shin Ji~<3

Update! Have some Shin Ji gifs~

The Matshot Episodes 3 & 4

Another two part episode of 더맛샷  (The Matshot) aired over the last two weeks, and it was another wild ride...

This time the guys met up at a baseball stadium, and they had to decide on new teams.

In order to persuade the chefs to pick them, the guys mentioned different girl groups they knew. IDK, but if you want to actually meet a female idol you probably should get with Heejun since he's everywhere and has that idol show on Mnet.

It was basically Heejun and Taewoo trying to show off.

Eventually teams were chosen, with Taewoo and Thunder on the black team and Heejun and Suwon on the white team.

How can someone be so adorable, OMFG.

And the theme for the competition was determined to be g.o.d related which somehow means they need to cook with chicken.

Then, while still at the stadium, they stopped for some hotdogs...

Someone had the bright idea to have some sort of hotdog eating contest between Taewoo and the other five.

LMAO, they played the Attack on Titan theme song over Taewoo eating.

Suwon was just like "what the hell."

They then got back on track with the chicken theme and went around to different places to sample chicken dishes.

Suwon on Suwon Chicken Street.

Of course there were games to be played, and Heejun and Taewoo lost.

They had to go down the street to a coffee shop and order drinks like that.

The coffee shop guy was amused by this so it was all good.

Then they were off somewhere else to eat more chicken.

The episode closed with a mini-cooking competition. They had to create pizza inspired dishes with ingredients retrieved from like a convenience store (or at least that's what I was able to understand).

And the teams tried to butter up the judge...

The black team's dish.

The white team's dish, garnished with ketchup... Classy.

Despite looking gross AF, the white team won.

And I have no idea how Heejun is doing so well on this show.

Episode four kicked off at a street market with some sort of race to find stuff and bring it back to the starting spot. I was very confused but nothing very lulzy happened so let's just move on...

The only noteworthy part was when Suwon was running down the street and someone yelled out "괜찮아요," and he didn't even stop, he just answered back "많이놀랬죠" and kept going. God, I love Suwon so freaking much.

Then it was time to start prepping for the actual food truck competition. Ya know, for a show about food trucks there's not a lot of focus on the food trucks...

Taewoon even hit Suwon with a "괜찮아요."

But Suwon is used to it so it doesn't faze him.

Yep, a whole lot of prepping was going on...

Then it was time for the actual showdown. They arrived at the stadium in guerrilla concert style...

Luckily they were greeted by a considerable crowd.

And they of course felt the need to yell Suwon's catch-phrases at him...

You will never escape it, Suwon.

Plus there was dancing because cheerleaders were there...

Yeonbok was enjoying himself. He seems like a pretty serious dude but he was lol'ing and having a good time this episode.

Eventually, they got to the actual competition.

And at any chance they get, they must remind the audience that Suwon is a robot man.

In no time, they had whipped up some chicken dishes...

What the white team made.

What the black team made.

The white team won again. Which, yeah, even just looking at the two, I would pick the white team's food. But for real, how is Heejun always on the winning team...

You can watch episode three here and episode four here, or you can just watch some clips here.

Next week, they're at a water park, and chef Kang Leo is joining them.

I'll also probably split up the episodes and make a separate post for each episode.

LAST Episodes 3 & 4

Last night, I got around to watching the latest two episodes of 라스트 (LAST).

I'm putting this whole post under a cut because it's probably going to be hella long and also very spoiler-y.

UP10TION is rising

TOP Media is gearing up to debut a new boyband, and they have been doing a pretty good job with building up hype.

I have been a Teen Top fan since their debut. I was into Teen Top before I was even into Shinhwa, but since I have become Shinhwa trash and Andy has become my ultimate bias, I now really support TOP Media and their growing cadre of boybands. Yeah, it's awkward that they're debuting a new group when 100% (whom I also love) still exists in nugudom, but nonetheless, UP10TION deserves a shot and I am giving them a chance to become some new faves.

GDI, Andy. Stop with the boybands.

Okay, so, I'll just say it now. UP10TION is another ridiculous Kpop group name. And of course it's some sort of crazy acronym (Unbelievable Perfect 10 Teen Idols Open[ing music to the world] Now). I'm still thinking about whether or not it's worse than Teen Top, though.

TOP Media got trendy and decided to introduce the ten boys through a King of Mask Singer type broadcast (복면신인왕전 UP10TION). This was a smart move since you got to focus on their talents in singing, rapping, and dancing before judging them based upon their visuals (however, my favorite members were determined by which ones I thought were the cutest because I'm horrible).

Last week, their show 라이징! 업텐션 (Rising! UP10TION) premiered and is chronicling them up to their legit debut. From what I can gather, the group will have a strong focus on Chinese promotions, as they got a Mandarin tutor and, in the the second episode, they took off on a trip to China.

In case you want to know their names...
Back row: Wei, Gyujin, Kuhn, Bitto, Kogyeol
Front row: Sunyoul, Xiao, Jinhoo, Wooshin, Hwanhee

I'm hoping the following episodes really showcase their personalities and we can get to know the boys a little better as individuals.

But as I already have said, I do currently have my faves...

My overall favorite member so far is Bitto. He's a rapper in the group.

But challenging him for that position is Kuhn.

Jinhoo is also a cutie. Along with Kuhn, it seems like they're both the leaders (interesting idea).

I'm also fond of Sunyoul. He is an adorable little dude with a sweet voice, and he sang "Tears" on the masked rookie thing, so hell yeah Sunyoul~

On the latest episode of Rising! UP10TION, as he had a considerable amount of screentime, Gyujin made an impression on me, as well. Looking back he was pretty lulzy on the masked rookie thing too...

Get to know the boys yourself and pick out your own faves: follow them on Twitter, like their Facebook page, and definitely watch their videos.

My #1 girls have come back to me

So T-ara released their new single "So Crazy" last night.

T-ara are my girl group faves. They literally cannot do any wrong by me; I even love "YaYaYa." In all honesty, I feel like they're the best Kpop group period- the best that ever was and ever will be. And it's almost like the whole bullying fiasco was some sort of conspiracy to keep them down and from achieving global success and being widely worshiped as our Kpop queens.

Though it's pretty different from their usual output, especially if you compare it to "Number Nine" and "Sugar Free," "So Crazy" is so good. I was kinda iffy about whether or not it would end up being a jam when I heard the snippet in the teaser, but it turned out to be a lot better than what I was expecting.

Moreover, I love the MV. I'm really into nautical themes so it won me over very quickly. All that matters, however, is that the girls looked amazing~

But let's be real, as with most other fans, I'm looking more forward to their upcoming Chinese release...
