Timeslip 90's Super Concert

NOTE: I APOLOGIZE THAT I AM SUCH A SHIT PHOTOGRAPHER.

I went to the 타임슬립 90's 슈퍼콘서트 (Timeslip 90's Super Concert) on December 30th over in Seoul last weekend~!!!

Pretty much I only went for Koyote, but I also got to see Lee Jaehoon, Clon, Kim Wonjoon, and Park Mikyung.

To be honest, I will say that the cost of the tickets was kinda outrageous for what we got, but whatever, I still got to see Koyote and had good seats in relation to the stage (like third row, four seats in from the aisle).

Kim Wonjoon performed first and came out looking like a hot mess. For real, who dressed him? This caused me some stress as I then started worrying about what the heck Koyote would look like. Anyway... Though, I'm not a fan, I can still say that he was pretty good. He did "Show," which is one of the few songs I knew from him.

Koyote came out second, and it was too soon. Because a part of me was like okay, so saw my faves, I can leave now~

Shin Ji was injured (she had something wrong with her ankle) and came out in a wheelchair. You could tell she was in a lot of pain, but she powered through the whole set. She really gave it her all. Nothing but respect for my president.

What did Koyote perform? They first came out with "실연." Then they did "Passion" and "파란." They also did "만남" and "비몽" before finishing up with "순정."

I hate that I didn't dance. Like I know most of Koyote's dance moves... Should have broke them out.

My boy Jongmin was perfect. So adorable. So handsome. Why did he seem so tiny tho? I did not get enough Jongmin... I could have stared at him for hours.

Koyote as a whole is beyond perfect. I feel so blessed that I got to see them. FINALLY.

Lee Jaehoon was the third to perform. Like Kim Wonjoon, he was dressed atrociously. Why??? Even though he was dressed like a turd, Jaehoon was still so hot. Mmm.

During his first ment, for some reason, he like literally spoke to me. wtf. He was like, "Hi. Hello." And then he asked if I brought him presents confused. wtf. I was like, internally, "Don't talk to me. Don't make me feel like an idiot!!!" :O

He did a good assortment of songs, including my personal faves "슬퍼지려 하기전에" and "작은 기다림." But he didn't do "애상," which still has me bummed, TBH.

Apparently, Yuri showed up on the second night of the concert. SMH. I knew I should have got tickets for the second night.

Then it was Clon's turn. DJ Koo came out with some back up dancers and danced to some Clon songs. After all the dancing that's when Kang Wonrae joined him on stage.

Like with Clon, you know it's gonna be good, because Clon only has jams.

While they were up there, I kept thinking are they going to do THE jam, though? And they did. We got "쿵따리 샤바라!"

Park Mikyung was the last act. Like Kim Wonjoon, I can't really say that I'm a fan, but she was also pretty good. She sang "이유같지 않은 이유" and "이브의 경고," which are both jams.

Overall, it was a good show. Though they are all getting up there and some would argue that they're past their primes, everyone did a great job. They're all such consummate performers. Not one regret shelling out the big money for the experience.

It's really unfortunate that my first time seeing Koyote involved Shin Ji being hurt. That makes me really sad. I want my queen to always be happy and healthy ;A;

My 90s Kpop fan cred so far:
  • 1. Saw g.o.d in concert on November 9th, 2014 back in Newark, NJ~
  • 2. On October 28th, I went to NRG's 20th anniversary fan meeting and got to met the boys.
  • 3. On November 26th, I went to NRG's fan sign and got to met the boys yet again!
  • 4. And now, I can say I went to my first 90s concert and finally got to see Koyote!
  • 5. ??? What's gonna happen in 2018 ???

Shin Junghwan is back on TV

About a month ago, I was flipping through the channels, when I was kind of shocked to see our boy Shin Junghwan on my TV. I guess I wasn't really paying attention because I recall seeing Tak Jaehoon post stuff on Instagram with Junghwan but didn't make anything of it.

Turns out it was all part of a new Mnet show called 프로젝트 S : 악마의 재능기부 (Project S: Devil's Talent Donation).

The show is following Junghwan as he apparently tries to re-enter the entertainment industry.

Three episodes aired already. In the first episode, he gets back together with Jaehoon and hands out his flyers advertising his services and asking for people to call him (hence the full title of the show). Him and Jaehoon of course do some "noraebang" with Country Kko Kko songs. Then they went to Busan and took to the streets, performing in front of a cell phone store. That, of course, went awkwardly. They also ended up on a boat and awkwardly interacted with some white dude. While in the third episode, Roo'ra showed up. I'm started to blank trying to remember what else happened, lol. On the next episode, the two are going to have a sexy photoshoot (I posted some pics at the bottom of the post). Can't wait~

Like I get that he broke the law and did something incredibly stupid, but in the Pantheon of horrible things a celebrity, or anyone really, could do, what Junghwan did was fairly minor. Did he hurt anyone? No. It's been years since it happened, and he did his time so to speak, IMO. It's been all the more tragic because he's legit funny and a true variety talent.

I gotta mention that Junghwan got p hot while he was away. He looks really good on the show. Jaehoon remains smokin' hot.

Project S airs on Thursday, but I usually watch the rerun of it on Friday night.

The show also has an Instagram~

AND Country Kko Kko performed together in the US back in like July, which is ridic to think about :O

Long time, no see~

Well, it's been awhile since I posted on here. I missed out on posting about a lot of things. So many ridiculous reunions and comebacks happened. Sweet jams were released. Good Kpop shit happened. But 2016 was a terrible year for me, and I had to concentrate on personal matters and getting my life together. Now I live in South Korea- Back in August I moved to Ochang, which is just outside of Cheongju. As I suppose I'll be experiencing Kpop culture first hand, I think it's time to resurrect this blog~ So stay tuned!

omg~ Someone left a comment on a post!

So a few days ago, this anonymous comment was left on a post:

First off, thank you for the positive comment! This is literally the first time someone has ever left one here- despite the fact that this blog has gotten some pretty heavy traffic (why IDK...).

Secondly, I KNOW RIGHT. Like who would have imagined, that in the year 2016, Sechskies would finally get back together and actually do new things... Crazy, man... Awesome, but totally ridiculous that it actually happened.

And lastly, I am really trying hard to build up the motivation to get this blog back on track. I hate that I haven't returned yet since I missed out on so much nifty stuff that has happened in the last six months or so (like the Sechskies reunion).

New posts should start popping up soon. I have a whole bunch of half written stuff in my drafts that I want to get rid of, so stay tuned.

I will return shortly...

Okay, so I have neglected this blog for waaayyyyy too long. BUT! I think it's almost time that I resurrected it.

A lot of things happened since October, and I kinda abandoned this blog due to personal reasons (mainly the deaths of my dog, grandpa, and father). However, I think I'm in a better place now, and I again need an outlet for my Kpop "obsession," so Imma get back at it.

I'm actually hoping to focus waaayyyyy more on this blog than everything else, so this place should be pumpin' soon. In the last several months I really lost interest in Tumblr and can't keep up with Twitter, so that's all probably good for this blog... And where else do I have to go and waste time online now besides here.

Dongwan's solo comeback

(This is a ridiculously late post.)

Dongwan finally came back as a solo artist back in October.

I'll be real. Sometimes Dongwan's voice can get grating (to me at least). However, his voice, and basically Dongwan in general, fit with this comeback's "soft rock" concept pretty perfectly. It was refreshing that it was completely different from Jun Jin's recent comeback, which made sense since Dongwan can't do a dance concept as he's a shit dancer. Now, I prefer dance music type stuff, but I was really feeling Dongwan's D and W releases.

His main single, "I'm Fine," was definitely the best of the trio of songs off of D.

"Piece," which featured the rapper Cjamm, was good, but the rap parts ruined it for me.

"My Friend" featured MOTHERFUCKING DANNY AHN and was a quality jam.

All three songs fit super well together. Probably because they all sound very similar.

In November, W dropped, and I won't lie, I was very excited about the song that featured Andy- "Good Night" was alright, but Andy's narration was hot AF, so hell yeah.

"Du Du Du" was less memorable that "I'm Fine" but still was just fine on its own.

"He_Sunshine" rounded it out, but he had already released that. Regardless, all six tracks worked together very cohesively. I'm not entirely sure why he split them all up since D and W were not significantly different from each other. In the end, I must say I enjoyed Dongwan's solo comeback a lot more than Jun Jin's this year :/

Because DyDy.

UP10TION Comeback

Even though they wrapped up "So Dangerous" promotions not that long ago, UP10TION had a comeback and new mini-album lined up with BRAVO! and it's lead track "여기여기 붙어라 (Catch Me!)."

TBH, I didn't really feel the song that much and think it's not as strong as "So Dangerous," but the MV came off as being a lot more polished and trendy that "So Dangerous."

"Ditto, "Holic," and "Party2nite" were my faves off the mini ("Never Ending" remains their best song, though).

UP10TION were also on Immortal Song's Baek Jiyoung episode a couple weeks ago. I need to watch it still but will post about it when I do~

Coolyote concert~

Coolyote kicked off a series of concerts this month.

Check out these pics from the first performance.

Jaehoon was pumped.

Bbaek Ga was killing it.

I love this.

Look at how fucking hot Shin Ji was!!!

The VCR stuff looked like it'd be amazing, too...

I'm really hoping that they'll come over to the US to perform again and will actually make it over to the east coast... This is literally the #1 thing that I hope that happens in 2016, TBH.
